The Choir of Kendal Parish Church is a wonderful opportunity for boys from the age of 7 - 8 upwards to experience the thrill of singing as a group and acquiring an excellent musical education. It is also a close-knit social group which encourages teamwork and caring mutual support. What these boys achieve is nothing short of incredible. They learn to sing some of the greatest music ever written, performing to professional standards.
We are proud to offer training that not only improves musical abilities, but can benefit boys in other areas of life and learning. Countless parents and school teachers have observed over the years that boys who sing in church choirs are quicker thinking, better organised and more self-confident.
I am very proud of the achievements of our Boys at Kendal Parish Church. They work hard and maintain the ancient choral tradition for which England is renowned worldwide whilst enjoying a happy social life together. We treat them like professional musicians from the word "go" and the rewards are as great for them as they are for us!
